The county government of Machakos under the ministry of health led by Naomi Mutie has been urged to ensure that Kangundo level four hospital has enough doctors and medicine.
This was said by Kangundo parliamentary seat aspirant Rose Wambua on Monday in Kangundo town as she addressed the journalists.
Wambua noted that the patients visiting the hospital are complaining of having few doctors compared to the big number of patients that flock the hospital seeking medical attention.
Wambua noted that having two doctors during the day and one doctor during the night is not an ideal solution for the hospital bearing in mind that the hospital accommodates patients from three sub-counties them being Kathiani, Kangundo and Matungulu.
"It's sad to see many patients visit the hospital from various places only to queue waiting to be attended to by one doctor," said Wambua.
Wambua went ahead to note that its saddening that after treatment patients are forced to go out and buy drugs from since the hospital lacks enough medicine.
She warned the county government not to wait until patients start dying in the waiting bay for them to start forming committees of investigations and instead should deal with the matter now before its too late.
