Illicit brew makers in Kisii County have been advised to shun the business as the crack down by security agents is still on.
Speaking in Ogembo on Wednesday, County Commissioner Chege Mwangi said brewers who enjoy making such drinks during the festive season will not be spared.
The commissioner said most people assume that it is during the festive season that they can make traditional brews they way they want forgetting that the law governing the same is still operational even during such times.
“The law is always the same even during Christmas,” warned Commissioner Chege.
He cautioned all illicit brew makers that their business is illegal and should stop forthwith or face arrest.
He also advised residents to continue cooperating as it strives to provide better services.
“Residents should always realise that when the government initiates any project it is for their benefit hence they should work closely so that to achieve more,”added Commissioner.
