Three policemen previously attached to the Olenguruone police post will now face full trial after the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko approved their case.
The three; corporal Silas Mutuma Marimi and constables Reuben Maina and Wycliffe Wangila Shikuku will be charged with the death of a woman at the station's cells in July 2014.
The DPP approved the case on Friday.
Mercy Chepkoech, died mysteriously while in custody after being arrested by the officers at Wagon bar, Olenguruone shopping centre where she was working as a bar maid.
According to a report by the Independent Policing Oversight Authority which conducted the investigations said she died as result of internal injuries inflicted on her body.
This was one of other numerous cases involving police officers in Nakuru County still under investigation in the DPP's office.
