Public sector drivers have been blamed for the latest crash at Salgaa which left seven people killed and score injured.
According to those who witnessed the fatal crash, the lorry driver is to blame.
“The driver was speeding, he realised he will ram into the truck and decided to move the other side. That is when he finished the matatu,” John Kirui, a bodaboda rider who witnessed the crash, said.
Bodaboda riders claimed that drivers along the deadly stretch are always speeding making it difficult to respond to emergencies.
“They always drive in high speed regardless of the risks involved on this road,” Martin Weru said.
The Salgaa stretch has been a notorious stretch where scores of lives have been lost.
The Monday night accident saw the lorry driver, five passengers and the matatu drive perish.
