Residents of Nyamira County have been urged to elect leaders of undoubted integrity who can fight corruption in the county.
Speaking to residents of Sungututa in Kitutu Masaba constituency on Monday, Victor Ogeto, who is also eyeing the Masaba MP seat said that many residents were easily lured into voting people in despite their questionable integrity.
Ogeto said that politicians with questionable integrity often escape the rule of law with relevant authorities failing to crack the whip on them.
“We have seen a couple of them still holding offices despite their questionable integrity. Institutions mandated to crack the whip on them have gone silent. It’s therefore upon us to make critical decisions in elections by voting them out,” he said.
He donated desks and chairs to Sungututa Secondary School and said that through his Ogeto Swanya Foundation, many more schools in dire need will receive chairs and desks over the holiday.
“As a foundation, we have identified schools that are in dire need of desks and chairs due to increased enrollment and we will fix the problem over the holiday,” he said.
