A middle-aged man was on Thursday morning arrested for allegedly posing as a police officer.
According to sources, Michael Mburu was nabbed after he was found harassing and soliciting bribes from unsuspecting motorcycle operators near Afraha Secondary school.
Acting on a tip-off, officers from the nearby Kasarani Police post laid a trap and nailed the suspect.
Confirming the incident, station commander Rajab Moseti said the accused will be charged with impersonating a police officer and being in possession of a police combat jacket.
"We thank the general public for informing us on time and encourage them to embrace community policing as we strive towards dealing with crime in this area," he said.
The accused was locked up at Kasarani Police cells before being transferred to Central Police station.
