Four middle-aged men were today arraigned in Kangundo Court following the murder of a University of Nairobi lecturer. 

Professor Steven Nzuve was murdered in his home in Tala on December 2015 as he was returning from bidding goodbye to friends and relatives who had attended his wife's graduation ceremony.

Speaking during the hearing, magistrate Nikki Singiang postponed the case as the judge Timothy Okello who was supposed to proceed with the case was absent. 

The four suspects Dominic Mutua Mutinda, Cyrus Mutunga Masaku, Ronald Ngala Kayumbi and Steve Irungu had requested be released on bond which was declined till further investigation.

The murder occurred in an area called Katulu in Tala December 2015. 

The case will be heard again on January 18 2016.
