Counties have been urged to give first priority to the products they produce before giving opportunity to 'outside' products.
The Industry Investment and Trade Minister Adan Mohamed has challenged the counties to embrace on what they produce since many counties have the potential of producing different products.
Speaking at Kisii County investment summit last weekend, Mohamed said that Kenya is open for business, hence the counties have a better opportunity of producing products for the growth of the economy.
“Kenya is open for business, both for local investors or international investors, so I advice all of us to embrace in economy building through business,” said Adan.
He further challenged the County Government of Kisii to have the capacity of training individuals in order to improve on their entrepreneurial skills.
In addition, he said that the national government is devoted to ensuring that they build a good environment for business to develop.
“The government is devoted to making sure that all goes well for our country in terms of business, so that we can produce and create a friendly environment to our local and international investors,” added Adan.
Adan further noted that through the effort of the government building road networks and railways, business growth and development will be easily achieved.
