MP for Kisumu West John Olago Aluoch has condemned Jubilee coalition for failing to deal with corruption.

Olago who was addressing the County Assembly of Kisumu for the first time during the plenary session said with the recent happenings involving the Sh791 million National Youth Service (NYS) scandal, the country was definitely losing the fight against corruption.

“There is lack of good will by top political leadership in Kenya in fighting corruption,” said Olago.

He stated that it was worrying that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were not steadfast in fighting graft as their cronies and allies have been implicated in nearly every scandal in the government which shows that the rot is on the top.

Recently former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru mentioned Ruto allies Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, his Personal assistant Farouk Kibet and majority leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale.

The Kisumu West legislator said as the opposition they will continue speaking out against corruption in government.

He also warned the county governments against the vice saying it will only deny the optimistic residents the fruits of devolution which they have fought for, for many years.

It was the first time a member of the assembly was addressing the county assembly since the inception of the devolved system.
