A group of elders from Nyamira South have called on governor John Nyagarama to unite all political leaders in the region for the sake of development.

Speaking at a burial ceremony on Wednesday at Makairo area, Ezekiel Morang’a said the persistent wrangles between MPs and MCAs was not a good recipe for prosperity.

He accused the governor of failing to forge unity between the leaders.

He called on the county chief to involve all leaders from the region in development projects.

“Nyamira is a rich county for investment and there is need for all leaders to unite for a good course,” he said.

Morang’a cited the recent state of the county event, where only a few members of the county and national assemblies were allegedly invited and others left out.

“State of the county is a very important event for every leader in the region, we cannot afford to have a few attending while others do not even know of the event,” he said.
