Nakuru East MP David Gikaria has urged his constituents to pray for Deputy President and journalist Joshua Sang’s ICC cases set to resume later this month.

Ruto and Sang are scheduled to appear before the ICC on January 14 and 15 for oral submissions from both the prosecution and the defense.

Gikaria spoke on Wednesday in Nakuru when he issued bursary forms to his constituents to fill via the CDF office as parents prepare to take their children back to school.

“We should pray for our DP and Joshua Sang to have their prayer of no case to answer granted by the ICC because they are innocent and we all know the real perpetrators who have been inciting Kenyans,” he said.

The Jubilee legislator claimed the DP has no case to answer since there is no evidence against him.

He said the prosecution should be compelled to drop the case against him.

The defense lawyers had filed an objection that there is no case to answer as there is no evidence linking the two to the 2007/2008 post-election violence.
