The commission's Central Rift coordinator David Towett Friday exuded confidence that they would hit the  target in Samburu, Laikipia and Baringo counties, which he said had been marred by conflicts during the last registration exercise.

He further added that the conflict that displaced hundreds of thousand of voters in the Central Rift region had since been contained hence their projected figures.

He also clarified that their registration clerks would be moving from house to house in a bid to bring everyone on board saying the last exercise which was conducted in centres had failed to capture a majority of the residents.

The 30-day exercise which began on Monday seeks to register at least four million new voters as IEBC gets ready for the 2017 general election.
