The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission will collaborate with schools to teach students the importance of participating in elections.
IEBC Central Rift regional coordinator David Towett said they will start by supervising all student elections in all schools within the region.
Speaking at Ngala School for the Deaf when he supervised student leaders elections, Towett said the programme will help not only in nurturing student leaders, but also in enhancing democracy and instilling democratic principles in students.
"As IEBC we are committed at naturing future leaders by training our children in schools on the importance of voting by supervising elections in their schools like we didi here at Ngala,"he said.
He added; "We are working with all schools in the region to educate students on why they should participate in elections and the importance of peaceful elections."
