K-Rep Bank has embarked on an ambitious expansion program after receiving Sh1.2 billion from Centum Investment Company last month.

The bank's Chief Executive Officer Titus Karanja said the plan is to expand on some of its products across the country with an aim of delivering efficient services to its respective customers.

Karanja said the capital has been deployed to expand the range of products that they offer to their clients.

He said the products lined up for expansion include electronic channels, agency banking, a new banking platform and innovative technologies.

“The fund will propel the presence of the bank in the country and we are working on a number of products that will benefit to our customers,” he said.

Speaking on Wednesday in Kisumu during the bank’s training on Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) customers in conjunction with the European Investment Bank, Karanja announced that expansion of their branches was also included in the plan.

The expansion of branches will be done in counties where K-Rep has no presence and is geared towards bringing a better value to their customers in more accessible locations.

Karanja noted that the training is aimed to improve SMS client experience, reduce client challenges and improve the size and quality of the bank’s portfolio.

“This is the best opportunity for SME to come and learn, ask questions and be able to grow economically,” he said.
