Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has called on leaders in the county to stop politicising development projects, and instead support him in providing services to residents.

Speaking at Mutati Health Centre in Gatundu South on Wednesday, Kabogo said that politicising of projects was slowing down development.

The governor asked leaders to support his government as it seeks to advance its development agenda.

“I am urging and also appealing to elected leaders in Kiambu to support my government's development agenda,” said Kabogo.

The governor said politicising development projects and raising personal issues does not benefit the county residents.

Kabogo said the support of every leader towards development will see the county emerge top in terms of development.

The Kiambu governor asked leaders to share their opinions and thoughts on development, and also asked county residents to participate in development projects being commissioned by the government.

Meanwhile, Kabogo said he has nothing to apologise for in regards to the alleged hate remarks he is said to have made two weeks ago.

Kabogo said that his statements were taken out of context adding that he will not allow some leaders to disrespect the government and the president.
