Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has threatened to sue politicians who are spreading propaganda and lies about him.

Speaking to journalists in Thika Town after inspecting ongoing works at the Kangoki Landfill, Kabogo said that some politicians had embarked on tarnishing his name through malicious allegations and accusations.

Governor Kabogo stated that the said politicians were going around the county spoiling his name.

The Kiambu County boss said that his political critics were keen to damage his reputation ahead of the 2017 general elections.

Kabogo said it was unethical for some politicians to spread damaging accusations about him and the county government for their own selfish interests.

“If anyone is interested in the Kiambu governor's seat he or she should seek the support of locals and stop spreading malicious information about me,” he said.

The governor said that some of the politicians opposing his government were using propaganda to tarnish his name.

Kabogo said that he was elected by Kiambu people and that he will not stop dispensing his duties as the governor.

He asked politicians to concentrate on their duties instead of spreading propaganda about others.

The Kiambu County governor also asked politicians to exercise maturity saying that it is the most important principle of governance.
