Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has said that his government is currently focusing on delivering on its promises and not politicking at the expense of developments in the area.

He said that it was unfortunate that some politicians in the county have started engaging in politics too early saying that 2017 was very far.

The governor said that he was focusing on service delivery to residents and cautioned people who were discrediting his government to hold their horses until the campaign period.

Kabogo who was addressing residents at Thika town on Thursday said that politicians have been convening prayer meetings but instead they pray for a few minutes and talk politics for many hours.

“Let us not fool around with the people’s mind. If you want to be seen in the Television you call the press and address them but not convening prayer meetings and turn them into political rallies,” Kabogo said.

He added that chiefs on the grassroots should enhance service delivery to the area residents saying that his government had a duty to offer quality services and he would do his best to deliver every promise he gave to the people of Kiambu.

The county boss cautioned county government officials against indulging in politics saying that he will not give anyone room for that during his leadership.
