Lari Member of Parliament Mburu Kahangara has urged residents to shun leaders who perpetuate tribalism and instead support leaders who are keen to uniting Kenyans.
Speaking when he visited Gitithia Girls Secondary School in Lari on Wednesday, the MP stated that tribal politics has no place in modern Kenya and that political leaders should be on the front line agitating for unity.
The MP said leaders have a responsibility to unite Kenyans as they spearhead development.
Kahangara said it is time Kenyans shun leaders who engage in tribal and hate politics.
The MP said he is focused at improving locals’ welfare through development projects.
He assured residents that road repairs and renovations will commence soon.
Kahangara said he has approached the county government to start repairs on several roads that are in deplorable state.
“I want to assure Lari residents of my commitment to boost service delivery and development,” he said.
Kahangara urged the locals to support him saying that he will fulfill development promises.
The MP at the same time challenged youth in the area to grab the development money the government is giving.
Kahangara said that youth, women and disabled persons can make their lives better if they apply for Uwezo and Biashara Funds.
