Tip Tip party leader Kalembe Ndile has urged Wiper Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka to shelf any presidential ambition and instead support the Jubilee Government for the sake of development.
Ndile who is a member of the Water Regulatory Board argues that for Musyoka to have any chance of bringing development to the Kamba people, he must work closely with the Jubilee administration.
Ndile noted that Musyoka’s presidential bid is an elusive dream that would only confine him to political oblivion.
“My advice to Musyoka is to join the JAP bandwagon since it is the only formidable party capable of winning the 2017 General Election, any attempt to ignore this fact is a sure road to a devastating loss by Musyoka and the entire Ukambani region," Kalembe said this while addressing the press on Wednesday in Machakos town.
He faulted the current arrangement within the Cord coalition, to which Musyoka is a co- principal, saying it is ill-prepared to win the next elections.
Citing the recent Coastal tour by President Kenyatta as a clear indication of the JAP’s popularity in former opposition strongholds, the former legislator said it was time for Ukambani leaders to examine their position as far as political affiliations are concerned.
He stressed that for any meaningful development in the area to take place, leaders should align themselves to the government of the day instead of following parties blindly.
“If the arrangement by Raila, Musyoka and Wetangula never worked in 2013, what makes him believe he will succeed alone,” posed Ndile.
