Machakos county governor Dr Alfred Mutua has asked Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to stop interfering with his development agenda for Machakos county.

Dr Mutua said this as he toured Mwala sub-county on Saturday where he said that Kalonzo's aim is to destabilize his government in order to slow him down from delivering on his agenda to fight poverty and bring Chap Chap development to Ukambani.

He added that Kalonzo has always tried his level best to oppose to development with the intent of frustrating his work and eventually remove him as governor.

He added that Kalonzo had promised several MCAs Wiper ticket and other goodies if they work against his government where he disclosed that these members of county assembly are ready to tell it all and reveal the role played by Kalonzo Musyoka.

Mutua urged residents to have faith in him and let him serve them according to his manifesto during campaigns. He said his trip overseas was meant to find jobs and investors for Machakos and the Ukambani region, so as to roll back poverty.

He, however, noted that in the last one year, since January 2015 Kalonzo Musyoka has made 45 overseas trips, visiting 13 countries and brought back nothing.

In contrast, he said that his recent trip, like all other he has come back with, employment program to provide 2,000 professional jobs to Machakos youth in the Middle East, starting with an initial 300 by June once paperwork is completed, three fruit and food processing factories, pharmaceutical factory, textile company, Ashok Leyland vehicle manufacturing plant, Solar (Green Energy) production companies and many more.

The governor concluded by saying that he is willing to work with all leaders, including Kalonzo Musyoka, for the unity and development of Ukambani region and the country but he will not accept machinations meant to derail his work under Maendeleo Chap Chap.

"I'm willing to work with any development minded person but if it's about pulling us back as we try to move on I won't tolerate that," said Mutua.
