Kiambu County Commissioner Alex Nkoyo has denied claims by a section of the media that his relationship with Governor William Kabogo is frosty.
Speaking to journalists at Kiambu Town on Monday, Nkoyo refuted the claims saying that he has been working well with the Kiambu County administration since being posted to the county three months ago.
Nkoyo said that the reports in some media are not true stating that he will continue to work closely with the county administration for the sake of development and security.
“My relationship with the Kiambu administration is good and we are working together to boost security and development,” he said.
Nkoyo stated that the county and the national government have to complement each other for the sake of development.
He said though there have been security issues in some parts of the county, he is working hard to guarantee security of residnets.
During the Jamhuri Day celebrations held at the Ndumberi grounds on Saturday, Kiambu Governor William Kabogo lashed out at the commissioner over insecurity.
Kabogo said that security had allegedly deteriorated since the commissioner was posted to Kiambu and urged him to revise his strategies and guarantee security of Kiambu residents.
The Kiambu governor also asked the county commissioner and other government employees to keep off politics and asked them to concentrate on service delivery.
Governor Kabogo also cautioned the county commissioner and his officials against holding back door meetings with directors of land buying companies.
