Approximately Kshs. 77 million is set to be utilised for developments in Thika township ward in Thika sub county, the area Member of County Assembly Kennedy Mwangi alias Kentams has said.

He said that the money will be utilised to fund projects which will enhance quality services for the residents in the area.

Mr. Mwangi made the remarks while addressing the residents of his area on Monday.

The MCA said that education, security, transport and health sector are going to be major beneficiaries of the funds expected to be implemented in the current financial year.

He also urged various implementing committees to ensure that work was properly done by the contractors before they were paid. He further affirmed that as a member of budgetary allocation in the county assembly, he will ensure that all wards received their allocation for implementation.

He however called upon the residents of his ward mostly those of Kiandutu and Kiang’ombe slums to support him and identify the areas that needs to be improved in those areas.
