Cases of corruption have become rampant among senior government officials who squander public funds.

A Kibera resident, Selin Owiyo said she sometimes thinks the government is a great joke.

‘‘Our so-called leaders have become enemies of progress. The few good leaders are always fought yet the real culprits of corruption are praise,’’ she said.

She said much of the Kenyan law is active, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) should work extra hard to save the nation from the dark moments.

‘‘Today we hear money for the Youth enterprise fund cannot be accounted for. Who will save Kenya? Who will help the youths? Who will help our children? We should wake up as Kenyans and deal with corrupt leaders. I will advocate for the worst punishment for the corrupt leaders, we should burn them alive. This will save our country,’’ she concluded.
