Nakuru County Speaker Susan Kihika has hit out at politician Madaraka Mwithaga accusing him of peddling political propaganda.
Kihika claimed Mwithaga is spreading propaganda through a local newspaper that she has chickened out of Nakuru's senate race in favour of the Women Rep seat.
The speaker was responding to a story that was published in Citizen Weekly paper.
“I hope no one here would believe that stupid propaganda spread by Mwithaga and Company that I am going for Women Representative and leaving a senatorial bid. Why women rep because I am a woman? I despise this line of thought,” she added
Kihika added: “Stop running like a little girl and wait to face me at the ballot when the time comes.”
“Madaraka, and what about lying that a competitor is going for a different seat, which you know they are not, is it not playing cheap politic?” she quipped.
Kihika termed the story as tricks from her opponent.
“Your underhand tricks to confuse the constituents by claiming am going for women rep, the coming out to play angel pastor, holier than thou, are indeed cheap and dirty politics. You fool no one,” she added.
The paper quoted Madaraka as the only serious candidate in the elections.
