Widows of former Nakuru politician Dickson Kihika Kimani have given Nakuru County assembly Speaker Susan Kihika seven days to apologise for disrespecting them.

They have accused her of scorning and intimidating them together with their children.

The widows want the Speaker to publish an apology in two leading newspapers of national scope.

Ms Kihika is alleged to have incited the disquiet over the management of part of the late Kihika Kimani's property, according to daughter of the eldest widow,  Ms Hellen Wangare.

Ms Wangare said they are not happy that the matter has been played out in public since her step-sister dishonoured the invitations for dialogue whenever she was called.

The family wants Ms Kihika to be liable, and thereafter settle with the members to end the dispute.

Previously, the seven widows attacked a 42-acre farm in Bahati constituency and interfered with gates at the property worth millions.

They accused the Speaker of going against family agreement by evicting one of the tenants in the farm and trying to disinherit them.

The tenant, Mr Lawrence Karani, had instituted a talent school in the farm.

However, the Speaker dismissed the claims and accused her extended family of being untrustworthy and claiming that they had been influenced by a local politician.
