Kisii county government has hailed the national government for identifying Kisii county as a 24 hours economy.
According to President Uhuru’s speech on Saturday during the celebration of Jamhuri day at Kisii county that was represented by the Kisii county commissioner Chenge Mwangi at Gusii stadium, Kisii county was named a 24 hours economy, remarks that were embraced by the government of Kisii and residents.
The deputy governor Joash Maangi said that the good leadership of Governor James Ongwae has led the county to shine. He said that they will continue working together so that the county can achieve its goals.
“It was a surprise to find our county in the president’s speech being the leading county in terms of a 24 hours economy; we are going to put more effort so that our county will still be leading not only in 24 hours economy but in other projects as well,” said Deputy Governor Maangi.
The Kisii county governor James Ongwae thanked the president for identifying his county has a 24hrs economy and he vowed to make sure that the county always shines in future projects .
“I am delighted with the speech his excellency the president made with regards to identifying our county as the leading 24 hrs economy. I am happy to let you know that my government will do more so that we can achieve our goals,” said Ongwae.
