Kitutu Chache South parliamentary aspirant Samuel Omwando has encouraged Kisii County youth to contest for political posts in the next general election.
Speaking while addressing the youth on Friday in Kisii town, Mr Omwando urged the youths to be in the forefront to clinch political posts.
“Its time for the youth to arise and shine. You must desist from being misused by other people for peanut gains but in stead, you should come out and contest for various political posts. You can win if you come together and work as one person,” he said.

On his side, former Kisii University student leader Rogers Nyanumba accused the incumbent leadership of being selfish and asked the youth to move on in solidarity in order to get in power.
He asked the youth to process for Identification Documents so that they can be armed and elect leaders of their own in the 2017 election.
“Most of us don’t have IDs. All youth who are at age of 18 years and above should process for the ID so because that is the only weapon we can use against the incumbent leadership,” he pointed.
Ronald Mayaka, the director of communications for Kitutu Chache North Youths Association (KTCNYA), encouraged the youths to have an eagle eye against politicians.
“As a youth I get annoyed when we are used and dumped like garbage in subsequent elections. Have we not learnt enough lessons or what any other lesson are we waiting to learn?” Questioned Mayaka who is also .
