Kisumu County governor Jack Ranguma has thanked the people of Kisumu for being in solidarity with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Ranguma said the people spoke that they were against the government's alleged attempt to intimidate Raila with arrest over his stand on Eurobond saga.
He said it was unfair to threaten a whistle blower who had volunteered information aimed at saving the country from losing billions of shillings.
The governor challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to treat information being given by Raila with seriousness it deserves.
“Do not turn heat on the person who has given the information, deal with the information,” he said.
Addressing a press conference at his office on Monday, Ranguma said Jubilee administration should not use threats.
He said the opposition is an alternative government and what the President should do is to sit down with Raila and discuss those matters.
Ranguma said investors will shy away from investing in Kenya if the government continues to frustrate opposition.
