A sudden increase in power voltage on Tuesday resulted in the burning of television sets in Pondamali and Mwariki areas in Nakuru West.
The surge in power led to the loss of a large number of household electronics in the area. The incident took place around 1pm Tuesday.
One of the electricians in the area, Musyoka, is a happy man and counts the ordeal as a blessing.
"Today I am a happy man as you can see for yourself the number of customers who are in waiting," he said.
One of his lady customers had a different opinion. She complained about the incident, insisting that Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) should compensate them.
