The first lady of Machakos County, Lillian Ng’anga has stated her full support for the first lady, Margaret Kenyatta's noble course.
The Kenya first lady on Sunday held a Marathon that was aimed at raising funds to improve the health of children and mothers.
Following information offered on Machakos County governors social media platform, the Machakos first lady participated in the Sunday marathon and had previously offered a check of sh500, 000 million.
"I am very proud of Margaret Kenyatta for her consistency in this noble course," stated Ms Ng’anga’s Facebook post.
She further stated that it was saddening that life had in the past been lost due to lack of accessible medical care and that wasn't supposed to be witnessed again in Kenya.
"No life is supposed to be lost due to inaccessibility of health services," she added.
Machakos governor, Alfred Mutua posted that he would not hesitate to offer assistance in noble causes. Machakos County offered a cheque of sh500, 000 million to the first lady on in support of her marathon.
The handing over occasion was also attended by the Machakos health CS, Naomi Mutie together with Chair of Maendeleo ya Wanawake, Francisca Mutinda.
