Chania ward education affair officer Alex Maina has unveiled the essence of strengthening the spirit of team work among key players in community development sectors to attain set targets in Chania.
Speaking from Chania, Maina assured the area residents that it was possible for any school to attain set targets in an environment of mutual understanding and commitment where every player remained focused on delivering their particular role.
He noted that there was need to enhance one-on-one interaction among parents, teachers, learners and area education officers to foster openness and honesty as they all strive to implement plans to uplift education standards.
"Some education development players are wasting a lot of time on whether or not ranking of learners and schools should be reinstated; they should instead concentrate on how particular schools and areas can utilize available opportunities to improve their current national examination results," he said.
He revealed that the next 2016 KCPE candidates from his area would perform better than 2015 candidates citing that his office had a set of plans which he said would help improve their mean score if well implemented.
He further lauded residents for supporting school mentor-ship programs which had given learners the opportunity to interact and learn a lot from experiences shared by the motivational speakers.
