The body of a 32-year-old man was on Wednesday evening found dangling on a tree in Kathuilini area, Yatta Sub-County.
Confirming the incident, Yatta OCPD Edward Kipsang said that the deceased had been reported missing by his brother on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased's body was found a kilometre from his home by family members and police officers who had launched a search party.
Kipsang said the deceased is said to have been dealing with mental health challenges, adding that it could be the reason behind him taking his life since he did not live a suicide note.
"The man's family said he had been suffering from mental health problems and that could have drove him to hang himself,” said Kipsang.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Matuu Median Hospital Mortuary.
