A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Mombasa after he was found urinating at Uhuru Gardens.
The man was arrested by Mombasa County law enforcement officers easing himself at the gardens adjacent to the iconic Pembe ya Ndovu along Moi Avenue.
The county law enforcement officers said Dennis Mbeche was arrested while on his way to visit his brother before the call of nature beckoned.
The county askaris were on patrol by the time they spotted Mr Mbeche urinating on the ever green grass at the gardens.
Mr Mbeche however, told this writer that it was his first time in Mombasa and that he did not know it was a mistake to urinate at the gardens.
"Am from the village and I did not know it was wrong to urinate here," he said as he pleaded to be freed.
"I now know that what I did was wrong."
Joseph Karisa, one pf the askaris who said Mr Mbeche will be arraigned in court on Monday.
"We will take him to court tomorrow (Monday)," said Karisa as he gave a warning to those who have the same tendency and expect to walk free.
