Nakuru county Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has commended youths in the region for their behavioral change that has seen most of them stop using alcohol and other addictive substances and instead involving in developmental activities.

The county boss who was speaking on Tuesday at Orthodox Primary School in Elbergon ward, Molo sub-county where he donated 1, 670 uniforms to the students among other amenities. He also identified youth as key players in achieving the county’s overall mission and called upon those who are yet to reform to follow their colleagues.

"I am happy to see most of the youth changing their lives and engaging in activities that help them improve their socio-economic life. This is a positive take and it will ensure all energy is directed towards developing the region," Mbugua said.

Mbugua also called upon the youth to acquire their national ID cards and register as voters in order to get the necessary assistance from leaders in the region.

"We encourage all youth to go for national ID cards that will help them register as voters so that they may take part in making important decisions that will ensure eligible leaders are elected," Mbugua further stated.
