Tala MCA Alex Kamitu has called on Tala residents who have not registered as voters to turn up in big numbers and register as voters.
Kamitu who was speaking to Tala residents in Tala town stressed on the importance of registering as a voter saying that little time is left for all who have not registered.
"Everbody with a national identification card and is not registered as a voter should take this opportunity to register as a voter. It is a constitutional right for every citizen with an I.D to vote, and one cannot vote if he/she is not registered as a voter," said Kamitu.
He pointed out that good political leadership in the county is determined by the people in the county who vote to elect their respective leaders in the county.
"We have enough voter registration centres in our region. I don't see why there should be individuals not willing to participate in the process. Registration process takes a very short time," Kamitu added.
The IEBC kicked off the Mass voter registration process in all counties in a bid to promote a free and fair election process in 2017.
The mass voter registration will end on March 21 according to the IEBC.
