Nominated MCA Emma Mbugua has raised the alarm over the number of persons living with disabilities registering as voters.
Mrs Mbugua who represents PLWDs in the county assembly said it is saddening to see only a handful of them coming out to register since the exercise started three weeks ago.
Speaking at the Ngala School for the Deaf when she witnessed student elections, Mbugua said PLWDS should take this opportunity and register in large numbers.
She said the disabled have a right to be registered as voters and called on them to exercise such rights.
"Very few PLWDS have registered so far and its worrying because we are almost coming to the end of the exercise,"said Mbugua.
She added; "I want them to come out and exercise their democratic right of being registered because they will be required to vote in 2017."
