A woman is admitted at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret after being hit by a stray bullet.
Elizabeth Kiptoo suffered a broken arm after being hit by the bullet said to have been shot by Kenya Defence Forces on training.
The incident happened at Tanzania village near the Moi barracks training ranch on Thursday.
"I was harvesting vegetables in my farm when the bullet hit me," Kiptoo said in her hospital bed.
By the time she spoke to this writer, the bullet, which was logged in her arm had been remove.
"As residents of Tanzania village, we are suffering and we urge the government to assist us by relocating the training ranch to another place away from here,"she added.
Area MCA Ramadhan Ali condemned the incident and urged the national government to act fast before lives are lost.
"The bullet is meant to protect people and not to kill them," the MCA said.
"I urge the national government to compensate the victim and relocate the training ranch to safe place away from people."
The incident is the sixth to happen in five years.
