Nakuru residents are in shock after bodies of the two businessmen who went missing last week were discovered at City Mortuary in Nairobi.
The two Nakuru businessmen, Joseph Ngugi (Jose) and Simon Wachira (Shem) were allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint along the Nakuru-Nyahururu Highway last week on Wednesday morning. Their disappearance had caused Nakuru residents to hold demonstrations on Monday demanding to get answers from the county security leadership.
“We have been to the City Mortuary and I have identified the bodies of the two,” said Simon Mwangi who is an elder brother to Jose.
He added that the bodies were found without any gunshot wounds but with the limbs broken which could mean that they had been beaten to death.
“I was with Jose on Sunday before he disappeared and we exchanged a few words. Little did I to know that that was the last I was to see him alive,” said Patrick Maina an activist in Nakuru Town.
Many residents have condemned the killing of the two and have called on the county administration and security forces to use all means possible to uncover the perpetrators of the heinous act.
“The police should use all means possible to unravel those behind the macabre killings of these two businessmen,” said Elijah Kinyanjui, a political analyst in Nakuru.
