Mount Kenya University, Kisii Campus, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hema and Ram Level 4 Hospitals for their medical lab students to do practicals in.

According to the campus director, Tom Nyamache, discussions are underway with Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) to sign the same agreement.

Talking to on Sunday in his office, Nyamache said the students who have enrolled in the institution have excelled in life.

''We offer quality education. With us, offering complementary education is our objective and not competing with other institutions providing tertiary education,'' he said.

Nyamache said they embrace universality and uphold dignity and integrity, providing highest standards of education to students from within Gusii region and beyond.

''The university is here to serve all communities in regardless of their clan, tribe, race, religion, colour, origin or culture. We respect everyone and give our students freedom for expression so long as within the stipulated guidelines,'' he added.

He advised parents and guardians to enroll their children into credible institutions that will equip them with knowledge of self-reliance.
