Bosire said the children will be screened several diseases and extreme cases will be admitted in the county’s largest hospital Nyamira General for further medication.

“I have ordered a team of doctors who will be traversing, at least, fifteen recognized children centers to screen children a number of diseases. It’s a team comprising of experts in different fields and the county government is set to cater for expenses of those extreme cases,” he said.

Bosire said his department is working on possibilities of using the mobile clinic to carry out medical checkups in the children centers once every two months to reduce medication expenses incurred by owners.

“We understand that most of these centers are run by well-wishers and it’s good to off load them some burden. We are currently assessing the possibilities of using the mobile clinic to execute a medical checkup once in every two months,” he added.

He said the list of centers that will be benefiting from the medical exercise will be made available in the county’s official website by Wednesday 23, 2015.
