The talent center in Borabu which had been initiated through contributions from a number of well-wishers has received a major boost from area MP after giving a personal donation of Kshs. 6 million for its completion.

Mr. Ben Momanyi who visited the center on Thursday said that he remained committed to see the center completed on time so that professionals from different fields can be employed to help in identifying and nurturing talents.

Momanyi urged the contractors to hasten the construction and complete it before mid-2016.

“I am really keen to see the building completed so that we can start thinking of how to recruit relevant professionals who will be helping us in the talent search and nurturing those talents,” he said.

He said that the center will empower thousands of youths who have remained jobless despite having abilities and talents that can prove to be very useful.

The centers chairman Haron Mogusu hailed the MPs commitment in helping the project survive and said that they are happy as the organising committee.

“We are thankful for your support and to this extent; we can all see your commitment to helping young people," he said.

Once finished, talented youths in sports, art and music will be recruited through competitive means and subsequently enrolled for a 2 years nurturing program.
