Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has lauded the Muslims passengers who shielded Christians during the Mandera bus attack that left two people dead and three injured.

Speaking during a telephone interview with this writer on Tuesday, Mule said that the act left many in tears as the Muslims showed unity and patriotism, by not complying with the terrorists' demands of separating them on religious grounds.

The MP asked Kenyans to ensure they remain united by protecting each other. He further warned them against being divided on religious grounds.

"It was very emotional to see the brevity shown by our Muslim brothers and sisters during the Mandera bus attack,” said Mule.

He added, "It clearly indicated that we are 'one people one Kenya' and that not all Muslims are terrorists.

Meanwhile, the MP asked the Jubilee government to ensure security of Kenyans.
