Nakuru woman representative Mary Mbugua has assured youths, women groups and disabled of a transparent process when vetting applications for the Affirmative Action Social Funds.

Mbugua assured various women, youth and people living with disabilities groups of a fair and transparent vetting process when she visited a group of single mothers in Nakuru town on Tuesday.

“I am giving everyone assurance that the whole process will be very fair and transparent. If you are in a group and you need these funds, kindly apply,” she said.

Affirmative Action Social Fund was given to all county women representatives across the country to help women, youths and the disabled.

In Nakuru County, AASF will be channelled into bolstering the lives of widows, community based organizations, youths and PLWDs groups respectively.

Mbugua called upon the beneficiaries to draft viable proposals.

The MP added that only deserving candidates with proposals which clearly outline the mode of business engagement would be given the funds.
