Members of the National Assembly have been challenged to seek divine intervention when Catholic Church Pope Francis visits the country later this month as a way of ending corruption in the country.

Ahadi Kenya Trust chief executive Stanley Kamau said MPs who are in the forefront castigating those involved in corruption should clear their names first.

“Our MPs should make an attempt to see the Pope so that they can be prayed for to allow the country to move in the right direction,” he said.

Kamau said corruption is rife in the management of Constituency Development Fund yet MPs who are the custodians of those kitties are silent.

Speaking in Nyando Constituency on Friday when he distributed free shoes to two primary school pupils, Kamau objected calls for the resignation of the embattled Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru by people who are tainted.

He said the attack the Devolution CS has received from the MPs is suspect and wondered why male MPs are pushing for her resignation.

The Ahadi boss said there is need for Kenyans to know how CDF money is being utilised claiming there is massive corruption in the usage of the kitty.

“Most of our MPs have put into bad use the CDF money yet they are questioning corruption in some ministries,” he said.
