Ahadi Kenya Trust on Thursday visited Mumbuni Primary School in Machakos County issuing pupils sandals, canvas shoes and sanitary towels for the girls.
The Trust’s CEO Stanley Kamau visited the school with the aim of helping the less fortunate children from poor families.
Speaking during the event, Kamau stated that the children who have been lucky enough to receive the little package of gifts should be thankful to God and since there are so many children in Kenya living in poverty.
"This project of providing necessities to needy children runs on a budget of Sh10 million. Despite the cost however we are glad to share what we have with the society," he said.
Kamau also criticised on-going cases of exam cheating asking the Kenya National Examination Council (KNCE) to set a committee to investigate and end the cases.
He noted that exam cheating waters down the gains made in the education sector and renders years of hard work void.
