Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua on Sunday accused his party boss Kalonzo Musyoka, and Senator Johnstone Muthama of plotting his political downfall.
Mutua claimed the duo have set aside up to Sh 56 million to sabotage the Machakos county government.
Speaking on Saturday when he launched Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement, Mutua claimed that that amount has already been sent to individuals and groups to derail his pursuit of political, social and economic freedom for his people.
"They have given people money to frustrate what my government is doing to people of this region," Mutua said.
He said Kalonzo and Muthama are scared of his accomplishments in terms of development.
The governor said the movement is geared towards Ukambani the region's economic transformation.
"This region has lagged behind in terms of development because of certain selfish politicians," he said.
