All leaders must be accountable for their utterances, deeds and behaviour while in public, former Naivasha MP has said.
According to John Mututho, some leaders had formed a habit of using the media to perpetuate what was wrong in society.
"It is sad that Nakuru is among counties that the civil society must demand for an account of funds being used by the leaders they elected into office to serve them," he said.
While addressing a press briefing in Nakuru town on Thursday, Mututho called on governor Kinuthia Mbugua to task selected committees to produce all checks and balances to avoid such 'uncalled for demands from the public'.
"Its not up to the governor to submit any returns, we have different County Assembly committees that should do this, any delay raises questions bearing in mind the financial situation majority of counties are in today," he said.
The National Campaign Against Drug Abuse (Nacada) boss was speaking amid speculation by a number of society groups demanding for accountability of funds used by the governor and MCAs in a trip to Mombasa recently.
