Mwala sub-county residents have expressed their anger on Machakos county governor Dr Alfred Mutua's visit on March 12, 2016 saying its of no importance.
Mutua visited Makutano and Masii residents within Mwala sub-county after being out of the country for two months where he purportedly inspected ongoing projects in the areas.
In an interview with some of them on March 13, 2016 they said that Mutua is an untrustworthy leader and does not have the interests of Machakos residents at heart.
"I am not happy with Dr Alfred Mutua's leadership. I thought he would organise for the construction of a public toilet immediately," said one of the residents who wished Mutua did not make an appearance.
Another resident from Makutano area complained of insecurity which has persisted in the area.
"Just the other day people demonstrated here in Makutano due to increased insecurity. I thought police officers could be deployed to be patrolling at night," said another resident.
They all complained of malfunctioning boreholes which were dug last year saying that they have incurred great losses in both towns especially business people as they buy 20litres of water at Sh30.
They, therefore, called upon the county government under the leadership of Mutua to take action and solve the problems they are currently facing.
