Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has challenged all the boda boda operators in his constituency to be more vigilant and report any suspicious characters amongst them.
He said this following a report that a 2 member gang killed a businessman by the name of David Mwaura popularly known as Wa-Kelvin who was in his early 50's on Sunday night by allegedly shooting him twice on the chest and later boarding a boda boda to flee the area.
Nakuru north assistant county commissioner Kithinji Ithai said that immediately after the shooting, he was able to mobilise security personnel and investigations are currently underway.
“Once the suspects are arrested, they will be prosecuted immediately," Kithinji said.
He further said that there was need to embrace the Nyumba Kumi initiative especially during this festive season.
MP Kimani noted that the sub county security committee was in agreement that security should be beefed up in the area adding that no security officers will be given off days until the festivities are over.
