The county government of Nakuru have been asked to address the issue of unemployment in the county in order to curb crimes.
Speaking in Kivumbini, the area Member of County Assembly Vitalis Okelo said that the issue of unemployment in the county is becoming more and more serious as many people continue graduating from higher institutions of learning.
The MCA said cases of insecurity can only be reduced when more people have somewhere to go every morning to work and earn something. He said its not easy to curb insecurity when most of residents are unemployed.
"The county government must address this issue of unemployment because insecurity can only be addressed when the number of idlers reduce," said Okelo.
The MCA was talking in the county tenant meeting in his ward.
